    Description

    ANTIQUE BONE HANDLE WITH ORNAMENTATION
    Inlay and carved bamboo with birds and insects. This could reflect the Victorian interest in everything oriental and of nature. This is also seen in the Arts and Crafts Movement. There are missing pieces of inlay. It might be worthy of repair or stand alone, as it is.
    Its threaded end is perfect for attaching to an umbrella.
    I do not know its history. It is 11″ long. The top is 1 ” in diameter and tapers to 1/2″. There appears to be a beehive type mark at the edge of the top. A maker’s mark?
